The company supports customers through equipment sales and rentals, parts, maintenance, repairs, and field service throughout the region.

Position Overview

The Parts Runner/Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering rental equipment using a diesel-powered one-ton truck and trailer. This position ensures equipment is properly loaded, secured, transported, delivered, and returned while maintaining accurate documentation and following all safety requirements.

What You'll Do

• Operate a diesel-powered one-ton truck and trailer to transport rental equipment.
• Safely load, unload, and properly secure equipment using the appropriate tie-downs.
• Follow all applicable state and federal driving and safety regulations.
• Pilot oversized loads when required.
• Receive and follow daily delivery schedules from dispatch.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Complete delivery logs, rental agreements, and other required paperwork.
• Deliver equipment within established timeframes.
• Obtain customer signatures on rental agreements and delivery documentation.
• Inspect equipment when delivered and returned for damage and safe operating condition.
• Communicate equipment damage, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or dispatcher.
• Perform minor maintenance and fueling as needed.
• Check equipment in and out according to company procedures.
• Red-tag equipment that requires repair or is not safe for use.
• Immediately report accidents and complete required accident documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience hauling light equipment.
• Experience operating a one-ton truck with a 10,000-pound trailer.
• Valid California Class C Driver License.
• Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment.
• Ability to complete delivery records and other required documentation.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, dispatchers, and supervisors.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good judgment and a safety-focused approach to driving and equipment handling.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful driving or delivery situations.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk regularly.
• Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
• Frequently handle tools, equipment, controls, and other objects.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

This position involves working around moving mechanical equipment and vehicles and may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, moderate noise, and varying outdoor weather conditions.
