Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a dependable, hardworking Shop Hand to join a fast-paced industrial team. In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping shop operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. If you enjoy hands-on physical work, learning new trades, and taking pride in a clean, organized shop environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Shop Maintenance: Clean, organize, and sanitize work areas, sweep floors, clear debris, and properly dispose of industrial waste/scrap materials.
Tool & Equipment Care: Retrieve, clean, inspect, and return tools and machinery to designated 5S storage areas.
Material Handling: Load, unload, stage, and move heavy materials, equipment, and stock using pallet jacks or hand trucks.
Operational Support: Assist senior technicians, mechanics, and machine operators with daily projects and tasks as needed.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all OSHA safety standards, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and promptly address slip or trip hazards.
