Material Handler

Salary: $17.50 - $19.00/hr

Position Title:  Winding Material Handler    

Exempt/Non-Exempt:   Hourly/Non-Exempt       

Functional Area:  Production / Winding

Pay Range: $17.50 - $19.00/hr

Schedule: M-F 5AM - 1:30PM

 

Major Function:

To support production by safely and accurately maintaining inventory records, performing cycle counts, tracking material locations, managing stock levels, allocating materials, verifying materials before release to winding operators, documenting material usage, monitoring material and case inventory, and operating a forklift to move materials as needed in accordance with AS9100 quality standards and safety requirements.

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, track material locations, manage stock levels, and handle material allocation.
• Verify materials are accurate before releasing to winding operators.
• Use calipers to verify materials.
• Verify and document material usage.
• Monitor materials and case inventory.
• Operate a forklift to safely move, stage, load, and unload materials as required.
• Adhere to AS9100 quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Carry out written and verbal instructions and work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.

 

Education / Training:

Degree:   High School Diploma or GED required.

 

Experience:

Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment required. Prior forklift experience required.
