We are seeking a skilled Plating Technician to perform metal plating and finishing processes on a variety of manufactured components. The Plating Technician will prepare parts, operate plating equipment, monitor chemical solutions, inspect finished products, and ensure all work meets quality and production standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience working in a manufacturing, metal finishing, or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts for plating by cleaning, degreasing, masking, racking, and inspecting components.
• Operate plating tanks, chemical processing equipment, pumps, rectifiers, hoists, and related equipment.
• Perform electroplating and metal finishing processes according to work instructions and specifications.
• Monitor plating baths, temperatures, chemical concentrations, voltage, amperage, and processing times.
• Perform pre-treatment and post-treatment processes as required.
• Properly rack and un-rack parts to ensure consistent and uniform plating coverage.
• Inspect plated components for thickness, appearance, adhesion, defects, and overall quality.
• Use measuring and inspection equipment to verify finished parts meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate production and chemical-processing records.
• Add or adjust chemicals as directed and maintain proper bath chemistry.
• Identify plating defects and make appropriate process adjustments.
• Follow work orders, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Safely handle chemicals and hazardous materials according to company procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Work closely with Quality Control, Production, Maintenance, and Supervisors to resolve issues.
• Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in metal plating, electroplating, anodizing, metal finishing, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and production documents.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work safely around chemicals and industrial equipment.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as required.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
