Cashier / Clothing Hanger & Markdown Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and hardworking Cashier / Clothing Hanger & Markdown Associate to join our retail team. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, organizing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor, completing markdowns, and maintaining an attractive shopping environment. Key Responsibilities

Cashier Duties

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process cash, credit card, and electronic payments accurately.
• Handle customer questions and resolve concerns professionally.
• Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
• Follow all cash handling and loss prevention procedures.

Clothing Hanger & Merchandising Duties

• Sort, hang, tag, and prepare clothing merchandise for display.
• Organize racks and ensure merchandise is presented neatly.
• Restock sales floor as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store.

Markdown Responsibilities

• Apply markdowns and price changes according to company procedures.
• Update price tags and labels accurately.
• Assist with promotional displays and clearance merchandise.
• Verify pricing accuracy and report discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Ability to organize, stock, and move merchandise throughout the store.

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Flexible scheduling required based on business needs.
