Position Title:  Sizer    

Exempt/Non-Exempt:   Hourly/Non-Exempt       

Functional Area:  Production / Sizing

Pay Range: $17.50 - $19.00/hr

Schedule: M-F 6am - 2:30pm

 

Major Function:

To support production by safely and accurately sizing cores to meet requirements, including removing layers of material from inner and outer cores, measuring dimensions with calipers or other measuring devices, beveling core edges as needed, maintaining production and inspection records, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with AS9100 quality standards and safety requirements.

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Review work instructions for requirements.
• Use a knife to remove layers of material from the inner and outer core to meet dimensions specified.
• Measure using a caliper or other measuring device.
• Lightly bevel core edges if needed to remove flare.
• Record dimensions of the first part on the inspection sheet and every 2 hours thereafter.
• Maintain production records.
• Adhere to AS9100 quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Carry out written and verbal instructions.

 

Education / Training:

Degree:   High School Diploma or GED required.

 

Experience:

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
