Position Title:  Annealer    

Exempt/Non-Exempt:   Hourly/Non-Exempt       

Functional Area:  Production / Heat Treating

Pay Range: $17.50 - $19.00/hr

Schedule:

2nd Shift - M-Th 1:30 PM - 10 PM and Fri 11:30 AM - 8 PM (Training on 1st shift M-F 6am - 2:30pm for 3 - 6 months.)

3rd Shift - Sun - Thu 10 PM - 6AM (Training on 1st shift M-F 6am - 2:30 pm for 3 - 6 months)

 

Major Function:

To support production by operating annealing equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining required process controls and documentation, and helping ensure product is processed in accordance with applicable specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Plan and perform a sequence of annealing operations on a wide variety of product requirements with variable specifications.
• Load and unload furnaces involving continuous and batch type equipment and operate according to recommended cycles.
• Make changes as deemed necessary by Engineering to comply with annealing specifications.
• Make periodic inspections of equipment for defects.
• Responsible for the start-up, shut down, and constant control of furnaces and their operation.
• Handle emergencies expediently to safeguard equipment and personnel.
• Perform temperature profiles using thermocouples and chart recorders.
• Complete daily reports.
• Adhere to AS9100 quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Carry out written and verbal instructions.

 

Education / Training:

Degree:   High School Diploma or GED required.

 

Experience:

Previous manufacturing, production, heat treating, or related experience preferred.
