Rack and Plater (Production Worker)

Salary: $17.50 - $19.00

Position Title:  Rack and Plater    

Exempt/Non-Exempt:   Hourly/Non-Exempt       

Functional Area:  Production / Rack and Plate

Pay Range - $17.50 - $19.00/hr

Schedule: M-F, 5AM - 1:30PM (Summer), 6 AM - 2:30 PM (Rest of the year)

 

Major Function:

To support production by safely and efficiently performing rack and plate operations, including reviewing work instructions, inspecting cores, selecting plates and threaded rods, aligning and assembling cores under hydraulic air pressure, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with operating instructions, AS9100 quality standards, and safety requirements.

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Review work instructions for special instructions.
• Inspect cores for size consistency.
• Select plates 3/16 inch or greater.
• Select threaded rods 7/16 inch or greater and feed rods through the plates.
• Align core and place plates on the F side of the core.
• Apply ample hydraulic air pressure according to the size of the core.
• Ensure plates are parallel.
• With pressure still applied, assemble using rods.
• Release pressure slowly and remove assembly.
• Repeat process on G side of core.
• Refer to operating instructions as needed.
• Adhere to AS9100 quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Carry out written and verbal instructions.

 

Education / Training:

Degree:   High School Diploma or GED required.

 

Experience:

Previous manufacturing, production, rack and plate, assembly, or related experience preferred.
