Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Cleaning/Sanitation Specialist to join a local nonprofit organization in Bellingham. This organization is dedicated to strengthening the community by providing education, support, and direct assistance to low-income individuals and families experiencing homelessness throughout Whatcom County. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of cleaning or sanitation experience, be patient and compassionate, and have a genuine desire to help others in the community. Candidates must also have, or be willing and able to obtain, a Food Handler’s Permit.

Schedule:

Monday-Sunday, Various Shifts

 

Position Details:

Position Type: Temporary, could go long-term for the right fit

Location: Bellingham, WA

Pay: $22 - $24 per hour

 

What You'll Do:

High touch sanitization: this includes door handles, surfaces, facets, light switches, etc.
Frequent bathroom cleaning and sanitization
Toilets, showers, sink, mop floors, and clean countertops
General facility cleaning: Sweep and mop floors, dust all surfaces, clean interior windows, change out and remove garbage, breakdown cardboard boxes and place in designated recycle area
Exterior facility cleaning: Remove garbage from front and back of building and place in dumpster
Kitchen: Countertops, sinks, sweep and mop floors, rinse, garbage removal, dishes (commercial dishwasher and pre-rinse)
Daily, weekly, and monthly deep cleaning (lists provided inside WSMR)
