401K Distribution Specialist

Position Summary
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Distribution Specialist. This position helps employers and their employees complete the process of distributing funds from company retirement plans.
Previous 401(k) or retirement plan experience is preferred but not required. We will provide training on retirement plan rules, terminology, and procedures. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, communicating with clients, and making sure transactions are completed accurately and on time. This is a full time position with a wage range of $20-$23 an hour. 
What You'll Do
• Work with employer clients to coordinate retirement plan distributions for employees.
• Prepare and send distribution forms and assist with routine questions.
• Review completed paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Calculate or verify amounts available for distribution.
• Prepare instructions for banks and investment companies to process payments.
• Track distributions and follow up on outstanding information or approvals.
• Review completed transactions to ensure participants receive accurate payouts.
• Research discrepancies and help resolve incomplete or incorrect transactions.
• Assist with confirming required tax deposits and reporting have been completed.
• Maintain accurate records and escalate more complex situations to your supervisor.

Experience in banking, accounting, payroll, financial services, or an administrative office environment is helpful.
