Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Technician to support operations at the Lavonia, GA facility. This position focuses on picking, staging, packaging, and preparing metal materials for customer orders while maintaining accurate paperwork and computer records.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment, operating a forklift, handling materials, and using a computer to complete shipping and receiving documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and stage feedstock/material for customer fulfillment orders.
• Break down bulk bundles to prepare customer-specific orders.
• Package materials according to individual customer requirements.
• Operate a sit-down or side-loader forklift to safely move and position materials.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials as needed.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Enter and confirm shipping and receiving information through the company's SAP system.
• Use a computer to complete work order confirmations and other required documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material information.
• Work efficiently to maximize productivity and finished-goods output.
• Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate any material, equipment, or process issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Comfortable working around large metal materials and industrial equipment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Physical & Work Environment:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials.
• Working around heavy machinery and moving equipment.
• Working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Following strict safety procedures when handling and moving materials.
• Performing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
