The Tube Roller Operator operates tube rolling equipment to form sheet metal into round HVAC ductwork and related components. The position ensures accurate forming, maintains production pace, and meets quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Set up and operate tube roller equipment to form sheet metal into round ductwork and tube sections.

· Review work orders, measurements, and material requirements before beginning each job.

· Adjust rollers, guides, stops, and machine settings to achieve required diameter, length, and shape.

· Measure and inspect formed tube sections for correct dimensions, roundness, fit, and overall quality.

· Load, position, feed, and remove sheet metal and finished product from the machine and workstation.

· Maintain production pace to meet manufacturing deadlines and keep product moving to the next operation.

· Remove scrap materials and maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Perform routine operator checks and report equipment problems to supervision.

· Follow all OSHA, safety, and company policies and procedures.

· Assist other departments as needed to support production operations.

· Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

· Operate a forklift.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

· High school diploma or GED preferred.

· Previous manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.

· Tube rolling, roll-forming, or similar metal fabrication experience preferred; willing to train qualified candidates.

· Tape measure experience required, including accurate reading to standard manufacturing tolerances.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Basic math and measuring skills.

· Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

· Ability to read and follow work instructions, production specifications, and blueprints.

· Strong attention to detail and product quality.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Mechanical aptitude preferred.

· Ability to recognize forming, dimensional, and product defects before material moves to the next operation.

· Forklift operating experience.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.

· Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

· Ability to safely handle sheet metal materials, formed ductwork, and sharp edges.

· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.

Work Environment: This position operates in a manufacturing environment involving tube rolling machinery, moving equipment, sheet metal, sharp edges, and moderate to loud noise levels.
