General laborers support day-to-day operations by handling materials, maintaining clean and safe work areas, and providing assistance to skilled workers. Their duties vary by industry but consistently involve physical labor and adherence to safety standards. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Site Preparation & Cleanup: Sweep, remove debris, dispose of waste, and prepare work areas. 
• Assist Skilled Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, masons, and other trades by providing tools, holding materials, or performing prep tasks.
• Operate Tools & Equipment: Use drills, saws, grinders, jackhammers, wheelbarrows, carts, and other basic machinery. 
• Construction Tasks: Dig trenches, mix/pour concrete, erect or dismantle scaffolding, and perform manual excavation. 
• Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA and workplace safety guidelines; wear PPE; report hazards.
• General Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and routine equipment upkeep.
