Performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting packaging goals for customer orders by dumping ready to package product to the Hopper on packaging lines.
• Verifies ingredients being Dumped
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed
• Dumps blended ingredients or products into Hopper as per job order.
• Frequent pushing / pulling of drums weighing over 100 lbs.
• Required to assist in stacking at the end of the line as needed by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet.
• Requires lifting up to 25 - 55 lbs.
• Required to assist in bagging of product as needed.
• Requires pushing/pulling up to 55+ lbs.
• Maintains packaging standards.
• Completes paperwork as needed.
• Must maintain integrity of product.
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Keeps area and equipment clean; follows LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year packaging experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate packaging equipment, including scale and label printer.
