Company is hiring a Commercial Diesel Service Technician for our service operation. This role is built for a technician who knows heavy diesel thoroughly and wants to work across Ford's full commercial lineup: Transit chassis, Class 4–7 diesel-powered vehicles, and everything in between. This is not a general service position. You'll handle complex diagnostics and repairs on commercial diesel units alongside a team that takes the craft seriously, at a dealership that has been part of this community for decades.

 

What You'll Do
  • Diagnose and repair diesel and gas-powered commercial vehicles using Ford diagnostic systems (IDS, FDRS)
  • Review work orders and customer concerns to build accurate repair plans before starting work
  • Inspect and test engines, drivetrains, braking systems, suspension, cooling, and electrical components across all vehicle classes
  • Follow OEM guidelines and dealership protocols for every repair
  • Road-test vehicles after completion to verify work and confirm safety standards
  • Process warranty parts and documentation to Ford Motor Company requirements
  • Keep up with Ford TSBs, OEM bulletins, and required manufacturer training
  • Document labor times, parts usage, and diagnostic findings accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and return customer vehicles in the same condition
What You Bring
  • Diesel technician experience required; any OEM background considered, Ford diesel experience required
  • 2+ years on commercial or fleet vehicles
  • Ford Certification strongly preferred
  • ASE Certification preferred
  • CDL preferred
  • Proficiency with Ford diagnostic tools (IDS, FDRS)
  • Gas engine and heavy-line repair experience across multiple platforms
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Personal tools appropriate for the position
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and work at production pace in a high-volume environment
