CDL A Driver

Salary: $29.00

Express is now hiring for a CDL A Driver at a Manufacturing / Production company based out of Olympia , WA. This is a temporary opportunity. The schedule will be Monday-Friday potentially Monday-Thursday from 7:00am-5:00pm. The compensation for this position will be ($29.00)/hr.

  

Job Duties: 

• Safely operate a CDL Class A flatbed truck to deliver construction materials to customer job sites.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials while following DOT and company safety regulations.
• Operate a forklift to load and unload materials at the yard and customer locations.
• Deliver products within approximately a 50-mile service area.
• Verify orders and delivery paperwork to ensure accurate deliveries.
• Inspect truck and equipment before and after each trip and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Properly secure loads using straps, chains, and other required equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers and assist with placing materials in designated delivery areas when needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and follow assigned routes and schedules.
• Perform occasional physical labor associated with loading, unloading, and handling construction materials.

 

Job Requirements: 

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Previous CDL driving experience, preferably hauling construction or building materials.
• Experience operating a flatbed truck preferred.
• Ability to safely load, secure, and unload construction materials.
• Forklift experience required or willingness to operate a forklift.
• Ability to safely handle and transport construction materials.
• Ability to make deliveries within approximately a 50-mile radius.
• Comfortable working independently and interacting professionally with customers.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, securing, and handling materials.
• Must follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Flexible schedule, generally Monday–Friday, with some weeks potentially Monday–Thursday.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
