LOCAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER IN FAIRFIELD IS SEEKING A TEMPORAY PURCHAISNG COORDINATOR WITHE THE OPPORTUNTIY TO GO LONG TERM - THE PAY IS $30.00 - $33.00 DOE!

 

As the Purchasing Specialist you will evaluate and facilitate approval on all purchase orders and coordinate with assistants and buyers to ensure accuracy of all deliveries. Monitor and evaluate all purchase order claims and ensure compliance to all company regulations.

 

The job duties include: 

 

Create and submit purchase orders and Blanket Purchase Orders.

Maintain pricing updates. To be done monthly on all major vendors. Quarterly on smaller vendors or as needed.

Daily store product pricing and procurement requests for stock and non-stock items.

Daily creation of new items for locations, maintain profile consistency

Weekly report on current inventory items that are valued above current procurement cost.

Prepare reports as needed.

Identify slow moving items and highlight accordingly.

Monitor and maintain eBay/Amazon store including arranging shipping with the warehouse.

Maintain files for export customers.

Broadcast container notices to appropriate departments.

Resolve daily pricing discrepancies with accounting.

Maintain warranty claims for all locations.

Handle shipping claims with manufacturers for overages, shortages, and damaged goods.

Maintain filing for all purchases.

Maintain special pricing by location, customer

Run weekly and monthly sell out reports for manufacturers.

Maintain master price list. 

 

Skills / Qualities: 

MS Excel and Outlook required

MS Navision, Ecommerce - Ebay, Amazon experience preferred 

Tire Industry and Vendor Relations experience highly preferred
