Truck Install/Electro - Mechanical Technician

 

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am to 6pm (must work an 8 hr day)

 

Salary: $25-32 BOE

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Occasionally modify chassis prior to tow body installation
• Install tow body onto chassis
• Install hydraulics onto engine or transmission and plumb hydraulics into tow body
• Install custom wiring and lighting to tow body and chassis
• When complete, ensures that the tow truck is built and functioning correctly.
• Coordinates with necessary departments to troubleshoot a variety of issues.
• Torques bolts to specific setting according to the build specifications.
• Adjusts the fluid levels to ensure that the tow truck is functioning properly.
• Performs a running test of the equipment to ensure that components are functioning properly when the engine is on
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our customers or other team members.

Position Requirements:

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions and do so with a positive attitude.
• Able to read and write in English
• Understand how to use an ipad
• Ability to learn the installation of wrecker bodies and beds onto chassis
• Knowledge of/ability to learn automotive wiring
• Knowledge of/ability to learn hydraulic installation
• Ability to identify quality issues and recognize changes within ones production process and make the needed adjustments.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well in a team environment.
• Keep your work area clean and organized
• Complete the required documentation (minimal), track material usage and account for applied hours.
• Adherence to all safety policies in order to promote a safe working environment, for everyone at the organization.
• Adhering to the attendance and punctuality standards
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
