Job Title: MMO II – Mill/Torch Operator

Pay Rate: $19.50+
Schedule/Shift: 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday, 12:00AM - 8:00AM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Summary:
The MMO II – Mill/Torch Operator is responsible for processing steel components through milling and thermal cutting operations to meet production schedules and customer specifications. This role operates mill and torch cutting equipment, interprets blueprints and work orders, and ensures finished products meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Operate milling machines to produce chamfers, bevels, and edge preparations on steel components.
- Operate torch cutting equipment to cut steel materials to specified lengths, contours, and dimensions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing prints, job travelers, and work instructions.
- Inspect finished products using measuring tools to verify quality, tolerances, and customer specifications.
- Complete production documentation, perform basic equipment maintenance, and follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, fabrication, steel processing, or machine operation experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience using measuring tools and performing basic mathematical calculations.
- Experience with oxy-fuel, torch cutting, or other metalworking equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
