Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking dependable and hardworking associates for a short-term, 2-day assignment at a Lexington apartment community. This is a physically active role that involves assisting with a large-scale furniture removal and replacement project.
Associates will be responsible for moving existing furniture and household items from apartment residences to designated dumpsters, as well as transporting and placing new furniture back into the residences. Ideal candidates enjoy hands-on work, can work safely in outdoor conditions, and are comfortable performing heavy lifting throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove furniture and other designated items from apartment residences
- Transport materials to large on-site dumpsters
- Move and place new furniture into residential units as directed
- Lift, carry, push, and maneuver heavy furniture safely
- Work efficiently as part of a team to complete assignments on schedule
- Follow all safety procedures and site instructions
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude while working around residents and property staff
Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds on a consistent basis
- Comfortable working in outdoor summer temperatures and varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Reliable transportation and attendance for the full 2-day assignment
- Ability to work well with a team and follow directions
- Previous moving, warehouse, construction, landscaping, or general labor experience is helpful but not required
