A growing manufacturing operation in Rock Hill is hiring an experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee facility maintenance activities, coordinate project work, and provide leadership for industrial equipment installations and repairs. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in industrial construction, mechanical systems, process piping, structural steel, and plant maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Lead
- Lead and direct daily maintenance and field operations within the manufacturing facility.
- Coordinate personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and outside contractors to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
- Develop daily and weekly work plans to support production goals and maintenance schedules.
- Review and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, piping isometrics, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Oversee installation and maintenance of process piping, structural components, production equipment, and related systems.
- Ensure all work meets company standards, customer requirements, and applicable codes.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to minimize downtime.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Monitor labor utilization and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- Track project progress and support production scheduling initiatives.
Qualifications
Maintenance Lead
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, industrial construction, mechanical systems, piping, structural steel, or related trades.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a Maintenance Lead, Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar supervisory role.
- Experience working in manufacturing, chemical processing, wastewater, pulp and paper, power generation, or other industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering documents including P&IDs, piping layouts, structural drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with welding, pipefitting, and pressure piping systems is highly preferred.
- Experience coordinating contractors, trades, and project activities.
- Knowledge of scheduling, production tracking, and workforce planning.
Preferred Credentials
Maintenance Lead
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Rigging experience
- Crane operation experience
- Experience working with ASME code requirements and pressure systems
Physical Requirements
Maintenance Lead
- Ability to work throughout a manufacturing and industrial environment.
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, and working at elevated heights.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and safely operate around industrial equipment.
