Job Type: Full-Time | Evaluation-to-Hire
We are hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a well-established manufacturing company in the Farmers Branch/Addison area.
We're looking for a true maintenance “jack of all trades”—someone who can troubleshoot industrial machinery, work with electrical and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and jump in wherever needed to keep the facility and production operation running.
The right person will have strong hands-on maintenance experience but won't have a “that's not my job” mentality. One day you may be troubleshooting production equipment or a 480V electrical issue; another day you may be repairing a facility problem.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term home with a company known for developing and promoting employees from within.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial production equipment
- Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and restore equipment to operation
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
- Troubleshoot 480V industrial electrical systems
- Diagnose electrical problems using wiring diagrams and schematics
- Perform electrical wiring and conduit work
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Maintain and repair manufacturing machinery, including equipment such as laser systems, press brakes, CNC machinery, and related production equipment
- Repair or replace defective mechanical and electrical components
- Perform maintenance from blueprints, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications
- Install and relocate production equipment as needed
- Identify required replacement parts, supplies, and repair materials
- Perform basic welding, fabrication, grinding, and machining as needed
- Operate shop equipment such as drill presses, grinders, lathes, and other metalworking tools
- Assist with facility/building maintenance, including basic plumbing, lighting, and general repairs
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area
- Support other departments and team members when needed
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with 480V industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing production machinery
- Experience with hydraulics
- Experience with electrical wiring and conduit
- Preventive maintenance experience
- CNC, press brake, laser equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery experience strongly preferred
- Welding, fabrication, and basic machining experience is a plus
- Ability and willingness to perform both production-equipment AND general facility maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical education or related industrial maintenance training is a plus
Just as Important: How You Work
We're looking for more than someone who can fix machines.
This company has built a strong, team-oriented culture and is selective about bringing in people who will contribute positively to it.
The person who succeeds here will be:
- Humble and receptive to feedback
- Hungry to learn, contribute, and grow
- A genuine team player
- Positive and respectful
- Flexible and able to “go with the flow”
- Willing to pitch in wherever needed
- Someone who takes ownership of their work
- Dependable and safety-minded
- Interested in building a long-term career, not simply finding the next job
If you're highly skilled but unwilling to handle something because you consider it outside your job description, this probably isn't the right position.
If you're the person who sees a problem, jumps in, and helps the team get it solved, we want to talk to you.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on manufacturing environment. Employees regularly work around production machinery, moving mechanical parts, oils, dirt, elevated noise levels, and typical industrial conditions.
The position requires regular standing and walking, bending and kneeling as needed, and regularly lifting/moving up to 40 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Pay & Opportunity
$27.00–$39.00/hour, depending on experience and technical ability.
This is a full-time Evaluation-to-Hire opportunity with significant long-term potential.
The company has an exceptional track record of retaining employees and promoting from within, making this an especially attractive opportunity for someone who wants to find a company where they can stay, grow, and advance.
