Shipping Coordinator

Located in Buffalo, NY

Salary: $20/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Shipping Assistant for a hospitality snack supplier located in Buffalo, NY. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with excellent benefits once hired on!

 

Payrate: $20.00/hr

Hours: Mon-Thu 9:00am-5:30pm, Fri 9:30am-3:30pm (some flexibility)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pick and pack orders for shipment
• Assemble and prepare shipping boxes and other necessary packaging materials.
• Pack shipment orders using appropriate packaging.
• Prepare shipments for carriers such as UPS, FedEx and LTL freight.
• Assist with processing of parcel and pallet shipments.
• Maintain a safe staging area - keeping area clean of debris.
• Verify orders and packaging to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with inventory counts.
• Receive inventory to ensure accuracy, lot numbers, and other necessary information is correct.
• Utilize internal computer programs as needed.

 

Qualifications:

• Proven 1-3 years previous warehouse or shipping experience
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack is a plus
• Competent computer skills with ability to learn new programs if unfamiliar
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 lbs.
