General Labor / Heavy Equipment Operator – Winchester, KY

We are seeking a dependable General Laborer with heavy equipment operating experience to support daily operations at a busy recycling and scrap yard facility in Winchester, KY. This is a hands-on position for someone who is self-motivated, comfortable working outdoors, and experienced operating equipment in an industrial, construction, recycling, or similar environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, front-end loaders, skid steers, or similar equipment
• Assist with moving, loading, and organizing materials throughout the yard
• Assist with general yard cleanup, including trash removal, sweeping, and mopping
• Help organize materials and perform copper stripping duties
• Move between equipment operation and general labor tasks throughout the shift as needed
• Follow directions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
• Work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Work Environment:

• MUST be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Industrial scrap/recycling yard environment
• Frequent walking and movement throughout the yard
• Position includes both equipment operation and hands-on general labor
• Must be comfortable working around heavy machinery and industrial materials

Qualifications:

• Previous heavy equipment operating experience strongly preferred
• Experience operating a forklift, front-end loader, skid steer, or similar equipment
• Ability and willingness to perform physical labor in addition to operating equipment
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow directions and transition between tasks efficiently
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation required
• Previous industrial, recycling, construction, warehouse, or outdoor labor experience is a plus
