Automotive Technician- $30-$35/hr

A local automotive company is searching for an experienced Automotive Technician to join their team. We are looking for a skilled technician with strong experience in general automotive repair, mechanical and electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle systems. Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automotive systems.
• Perform general automotive repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform drivability testing to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
• Remove and replace transmissions and related components as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment, shop tools, and professional automotive tools safely.
• Assist other technicians with technical repairs and troubleshooting when needed.
• Document inspection findings and recommended repairs accurately.
• Provide detailed information needed to estimate repair costs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Stay current on automotive repair techniques, equipment, and technology.
• Follow company safety procedures and service standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician required.
• Strong general automotive repair experience.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience performing automotive diagnostics and drivability testing.
• Transmission repair and/or Transmission R&R experience is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must own professional-grade automotive tools necessary to perform general repairs.
• Working knowledge of automotive shop tools and equipment.
• Ability to accurately diagnose problems and determine appropriate repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Dependable with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Willingness to continuously learn new repair techniques and automotive technology.
