Utility Co-Worker / Hose Assembler – Production
Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing company in Brantford, ON seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join their production team as a Utility Co-Worker / Hose Assembler.

Position Details
Job Title: Utility Co-Worker / Hose Assembler
Location: Brantford, ON
Job Type: Full-Time, Evaluation-to-Hire
Starting Wage: $24.20/hour + applicable shift premium
Shifts: Rotating monthly between Days, Afternoons & Nights
Shift Premiums:
- Days: +$4.20/hour
- Afternoons: +$1.50/hour
- Nights: +$2.00/hour
The shift schedule rotates on a monthly basis, so candidates must be comfortable working all three shifts.
Paid Breaks & Lunch
Employees receive:
- 20-minute paid lunch
- Two 10-minute paid breaks – one in the morning and one in the afternoon
Because these breaks are paid, employees are required to remain on site during their scheduled breaks/lunch and cannot leave the facility during the shift.
Employees must bring their own lunch.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the production of hose and tubing through quality inspections, packaging, coiling, wrapping, and labeling.
- Assist the Operator and Assistant Operator with basic extrusion line functions.
- Inspect boxes, reels, and materials to ensure they are the correct size and in proper condition.
- Stack completed boxes and reels safely on pallets without excessive overhang.
- Use tape cutters and assist with transferring hose/twine from reels to package spools.
- Operate a pump truck when required.
- Complete required quality checks, measurements, and production paperwork.
- Immediately report any product or process deviations to the Team Leader or Operator.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and required PPE standards.
- Assist with other reasonable production duties as assigned.
- Be willing to work overtime when required to ensure a clean and safe handover to the incoming shift.

This is a learnable production role. Previous manufacturing experience is an asset, but we are primarily looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Physical Requirements
Candidates must be comfortable with:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Pushing and pulling
- Lifting and carrying
- Bending and reaching
- Forward and overhead reaching
- Gripping and holding
- Climbing steps
- Using a shovel/stirring as required
- Working at a pace determined by the production line
The work environment can be warm and humid, with varying noise levels. Safety shoes and safety glasses are required, along with any additional PPE specified by the company.
