We are currently conducting a search for a maintenance mechanic to join the team of a manufacturing client in Janesville.

This is a direct hire opening for an experienced industrial maintenance mechanic, with an employer that offers competitive benefits package and great advancement opportunities.  Company also offers flexible scheduling options for this role!

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and pipefitting experience.

Responsibilities Overview:

• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Inspect machinery, listen for anomalies, and use diagnostic tools to identify the root cause of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical failures

• Repairs and Replacements: Fix broken parts, assemble components, and install replacement parts using hand tools and power tools.
• Preventative Maintenance: Follow scheduled service plans, which include cleaning, lubricating moving parts, and testing equipment to stop breakdowns before they happen.
• Installation and Calibration: Set up new machinery, align parts, and calibrate systems to match technical manuals and blueprints
• Record Keeping and Safety: Document completed tasks in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) while strictly adhering to workplace health and safety guidelines

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated Stable work history/longevity
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous electrical experience, ideally with 3-phase electric and 480 volt
• Previous pipefitting experience preferred

Schedule:

• Flexible shift options
• Rotating on-call responsibility
• Must be willing to work at least one Saturday per month
• Opportunity for overtime

Pay: Up to $32/hour based on experience
