Compound Operator

Located in Burlington, WI

Salary: 20.00+(shift premium)

This is essentially a chemical manufacturing/batching production job. The operator:

• Sets up, operates, and monitors production and packaging equipment.
• Measures, weighs, mixes, and processes chemical ingredients according to specific formulas/procedures.
• Monitors batches for quality and food-safety requirements.
• Records production, sanitation, and testing information.
• Takes samples from batches for quality testing.
• Fills containers with finished chemical products.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and the production area.
• Reports any safety, food-safety, or product-quality issues.
• Operates production equipment such as forklifts, agitators, homogenizers, and drum tippers.

Physical requirements

This is a very hands-on manufacturing position:

• Lift up to 60 lbs. repetitively
• Stand, bend and reach for extended periods
• Frequently climb stairs and ladders
• Wear PPE for extended periods
• Work around chemical-processing equipment
• Perform visual and olfactory observations

Experience 

• High-school-level reading and math skills
• 2+ years of chemical or food-processing experience
• Forklift certification
• GMP/HACCP experience is a plus
