Silica Operator-2nd shift

Located in Burlington, WI

Salary: 19.00+(shift premium)

Main responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production equipment used to manufacture/package colloidal silica products.
• Control and monitor computerized production systems.
• Measure, weigh, mix and process chemical ingredients according to established procedures.
• Monitor batches for quality and safety.
• Take product samples for quality testing.
• Record production, sanitation and testing information.
• Fill containers with finished chemical products.
• Clean and maintain equipment and the work area.
• Follow all chemical safety, food safety and company policies.

Physical requirements:

• Lift up to 60 lbs. repetitively
• Stand, bend and reach for extended periods.
• Frequently climb stairs and ladders.
• Wear required PPE for extended periods.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, agitators, homogenizers and drum tippers.

Qualifications:

• High-school-level reading and math proficiency.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 2+ years of chemical or food-processing experience preferred
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
