Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Administrator

 

 

Location: Prineville, OR
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm
Compensation: $25–$27 DOE

 

Position Summary

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Administrator supports the Safety Supervisor and the broader Risk Services Team in maintaining safety compliance for 600+ stores across 15 states. This role is highly detail-oriented, data-heavy, and requires strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, Type-A environment. The administrator manages permitting, OSHA logs, environmental documentation, and daily communication with stores and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Environmental & Regulatory Support

  • Manage environmental permitting, hazmat documentation, and renewal payments.
  • Conduct due diligence for new store builds, including researching local safety regulations.
  • Submit required documentation to state and federal agencies (Fire Marshal, EPA, CERS, BLS, etc.).
  • Maintain compliance records and support mandated reporting.

OSHA & Safety Data Management

  • Maintain OSHA logs and other safety compliance records.
  • Review incoming safety information, document findings, and file appropriately.
  • Support investigations related to injuries and incidents.

Administrative & Department Support

  • Manage department phone and email communication.
  • Receive, document, and organize incoming information from stores and field safety coordinators.
  • Support the liability team for 1–2 hours daily.
  • Maintain highly organized digital and physical filing systems.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Work heavily in Google Sheets and Excel to manage formulas, data sets, and compliance metrics.
  • Maintain TRIR, DART, auto lift, and other risk-related spreadsheets.
  • Provide Environmental, Health and Safety analytics as needed.

Training & Development

  • Participate in OSHA and other state/federal training programs.
  • Learn permitting, environmental compliance, and safety program requirements.

Other Duties

  • Assist Safety Manager, Supervisor, and Risk Services Director with special projects.
  • Required member of the HQ Safety Committee.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with permitting, regulatory agencies, or compliance-heavy administrative work.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data organization.
  • Ability to understand how data is populated, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings.
  • Professional communication skills and ability to interact with store personnel and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, Type-A team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior safety, environmental, or OSHA-related experience.
  • Experience supporting investigations or incident documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with formulas and large data sets.
