What You Get to Do!
The position is responsible for order writing, order entry and coordination of all domestic sales. This will include technical customer service, and order coordination along with developing project quotes. This position will also require that the incumbent be prepared to assist and help with supporting our International Sales staff as needed as well as be proficient in the use of the order entry, sales, and shipping system.
• Understand the products manufactured and the regulations of the industry.
• Understand and continue to develop Costing & Pricing models for full product range.
• Negotiate effective sales transactions that create win/win business deals.
• Become well versed in the manufacturing process and the associated strengths and limitations of the product/process and certification.
• Be able to do material take-offs for our customers and prepare project quotes based on those takeoffs (architectural shop drawings).
• Coordinate all export shipping both internally and with our export partners.
• Work with the management team in developing project scheduling, developing timeline estimates, and enhancing production efficiency.
• Work with others involved in technical department to advance approvals necessary to support our customers’ needs and applications.
• Assist with in-house testing, full scale certification testing and evaluation.
• Prepare sales budgets and forecasts with sales team.
• Interact with the production department to determine ship dates and production needs
• Be familiar with and know how to use all internal MRP/ERP Manufacturing System - order entry and order tracking systems
• Understand competitive offerings and how to differentiate our products from the competitors
• Communicate and work effectively with all employees
• Coordinate internal financial transactions with the Financial Controller
• Assist in maintaining the company’s compliance to all outside certification requirements, audit requirements, as well as our internal quality program.
• Assist in expanding/updating all sales literature, manuals, website, etc.
• Assist in the continued development (R&D) of new products, processes, equipment implementation, etc.
What You Will Bring…
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience
• Working understanding of the construction/manufacturing industry is a plus
• Be competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (general
• knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks is a plus)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing
• Be self-directed and self-motivated in the pursuit of business objectives
• Enjoy working in a small company environment
