Our Pickering client, a leader in high-quality architectural cladding solutions, is looking for a Brake Press Operator to join their growing team!

Responsibilities:

• Operate brake press to fabricate & form products
• Perform loading and unloading of material by changing tools
• Perform various fabrication techniques such as: bending, shearing, punching, and notching of metal components
• Use vernier caliper to conduct measurements, perform manual layout and bend deduction calculations
• Work with sheet metal gauge range from 26 Ga to 12 Ga thickness
• Prioritize production to ensure customer orders are completed on time
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on brake press
• Inspect all manufactured parts following work
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 3-5 years Brake Press Operation experience
• Must be able read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
• Strong math & measuring skills
• High school diploma / GED / or equivalent preferred
• Heavy lifting of 50lbs
• Attention to detail skills
• Strict adherence to safety practices and procedures
• Able to multitask, work in a team and independently with minimal supervision

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 4:00pm
• Pay Rate: $25-36 per hour (based on experience)
