Billing Clerk

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Billing Clerk for a local client!

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about providing excellent customer service? We are seeking a Billing Clerk to support billing operations, payment processing, customer account maintenance, and general office administration. This position is ideal for someone who can multitask effectively, maintain confidentiality, and provide professional customer support in a busy office environment.

Pay: $20.00/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer billing inquiries in person, by phone, and by email.
• Process and post payments accurately, including cash, checks, credit cards, ACH, and online payments.
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate account records.
• Assist with monthly billing and account maintenance.
• Help customers with account setup, final billing, payment arrangements, and online payment services.
• Prepare routine notices and billing correspondence.
• Maintain organized records, files, and documentation.
• Provide administrative and clerical support as needed.
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service, billing, accounting, or administrative support preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle financial transactions responsibly and confidentially.
• Proficient with computers and standard office software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
