Overview

Express is seeking a dependable, hands-on General Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair rental properties and buildings in the Southern Pines, NC area.

The ideal candidate is versatile, reliable, and comfortable performing a variety of general maintenance tasks while responding to work orders and property needs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general repairs and maintenance for rental properties and buildings.
Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building issues.
Inspect properties, units, equipment, and grounds for maintenance and safety needs.
Complete work orders and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Prepare rental units for new tenants and assist with inspections.
Perform preventative maintenance and assist with renovations and property improvements.
Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, buildings, and grounds.
Coordinate with contractors or vendors when specialized work is required.
Communicate professionally with tenants and property management.
Follow company safety procedures and participate in emergency or after-hours maintenance as needed.

Requirements

General maintenance, property maintenance, construction, or related experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and perform repairs using common hand and power tools.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to perform physical maintenance duties.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred: Trade training or certifications and experience with rental properties, renovations, or multiple buildings.
