Work Hours: Monday to Friday 5:00am to 3:30pm

Pay Rate: $21.00+ based on experience 

 

MUST BE OPEN TO WORK IN A HOT ENVIRONMENT

MUST BE OPEN TO WORK IN A LOUD ENVIRONMENT (PPE is provided)

 

 

Job Purpose:

 

Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications. Works safely to protect themselves, their coworkers, and the facility by following all standard operating procedures. Engaged in process measurement, control, and improvement in all aspects of their assigned tasks. Learns and understands key operating parameters which ensure that only in specification and high-quality product is delivered to our customers.

 

Level 1 Expectations:

 

Level I line operator performs daily duties with minimum supervision. Operators start to cross-train entry level personnel and expand their own equipment knowledge in other unassigned areas. 

• Safety Requirements
  • Comply with all company safety and cardinal rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to locate and follow SDS’s.
  • Required to attend all safety/shift meetings.
  • Attend scheduled safety meetings, report any unsafe conditions, and report near misses.
  • Maintain safe and good housekeeping for assigned area and work within a team to sustain a safe environment.
  • Comply with all PPE requirements for all tasks
  • Successfully complete all EHS training per deadlines
• Quality Assurance
  • Complete clean downs as instructed. Follows proper change over procedures.
  • Ability to set up production line per the process P&P.
  • Know what steps to take to achieve a quality product and maintain that quality throughout production run.
  • Aids in clean downs across the site
• Equipment Management
  • Operator has operational knowledge of assigned plant equipment
  • Operator performs clean downs with minimum supervision
  • Works to expand equipment knowledge beyond assigned equipment
  • Must meet the required production rate targets; inform supervision of all issues
  • Must be able to interpret and follow P&P and Batch Sheet procedures
• Process Management
  • Must be able to follow all main and auxiliary equipment procedures, clean down instructions and visual workplace procedures
  • Ensures paperwork is completed accurately and recorded on time
  • Obtains, follows and maintains documentation required to manage the process
  • Distinguish finished goods inventory from nonconforming material per the site system
  • Records production tracking data accurately per site process
• Interdepartmental communication/ Coordination
  • Participate and interact with teammates within assigned areas on process order and clean down execution
  • Demonstrates the ability to make changes to the process as required to ensure 1st time quality
  • Effectively communicates with teammates during shift turn-over
• Attendance
  • Expected to arrive at work on time ready to work
  • Complete shift as scheduled
  • Schedule days off appropriately with supervisor per attendance policy.
  • Notifies supervisor for any absentee or tardiness
  • Record time per site policy
  • Attends meetings as required
• Additional Expectations
  • Completes other tasks as assigned by supervision.
