General Construction Laborer

Location: Newington, CT

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Full-Time)

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $20.00 / hour (Based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Site Preparation: Clean, clear, and prepare job sites daily by removing debris, hazards, and materials.

• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction tools, lumber, concrete, and equipment across work areas.

• Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely utilize basic hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, tampers, pressure washers).

• Trade Support: Assist carpenters, masons, and project supervisors with measurement, layout, framing, or pour prep as needed.

• Safety Maintenance: Set up safety barricades, signage, and personal protective equipment (PPE) staging to ensure a safe environment for all workers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently, bend, stand, and perform physical labor throughout an 8-hour shift outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependable attendance for a prompt 7:00 AM start.

• Work Ethic: Strong willingness to learn, follow verbal instructions, and maintain an active, safety-first mindset.

• Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation to commute to job sites in and around Newington, CT.

• Experience: Prior construction or general labor experience is preferred, but motivated entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
