What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and facility equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment issues.
- Diagnose equipment problems and make repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect machinery and identify potential issues before they become major breakdowns.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document completed work.
- Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, motors, pumps, and related components.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical components, controls, sensors, and wiring.
- Work with production personnel to respond to equipment problems and restore machinery to operation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous-improvement projects as needed.
What You Must Have to Be Considered
We’re looking for someone with a strong hands-on maintenance background who can independently troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
Required:
- Previous experience performing maintenance on manufacturing or industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Experience with at least some combination of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, or industrial controls.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, or equipment manuals.
- Ability to use common maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a production/maintenance team.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing maintenance position.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred:
- Technical school or formal training in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical technology, or a related field.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
- Manufacturing experience in a high-volume production environment.
