We are seeking an experienced DOT Trailer Inspector to join a growing team in New Lenox. If you have trailer inspection experience, strong attention to detail, and are knowledgeable about DOT compliance requirements, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Perform DOT inspections on trailers to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Inspect brakes, tires, wheels, lights, suspension, and other trailer components.
• Accurately document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Identify repair needs and recommended corrective actions.
• Follow up on inspections by preparing repair estimates and quotes.
• Maintain inspection records and compliance documentation.
• Communicate findings clearly with customers and internal teams.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company standards.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Previous DOT trailer inspection experience required.
• Working knowledge of trailer components and DOT regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create detailed inspection reports and repair recommendations.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
