Class B Delivery Driver

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class B Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of building materials to customer job sites and warehouse locations. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and experience loading, unloading, and securing materials for transport.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Deliver materials to customer locations while ensuring products arrive in good condition.
• Load, unload, and secure products for transportation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
• Verify delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation.
• Assist in warehouse operations, including material handling, inventory organization, and order preparation when not making deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
• Clean driving record with the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Previous delivery driving experience in construction materials, roofing, insulation, or distribution environments preferred.
• Ability to read maps, delivery schedules, and shipping documents.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely load and unload construction-related materials.
