Our Scarborough client, a leading wholesale distributor and fabricator of plastic materials, is looking for a Forklift Operator/Warehouse Shipper to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
• Receive, unload, sort, and store incoming materials and products
• Pull materials and products based on customer requirements and production requests
• Review customer sales orders and shipping documentation to accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
• Assemble customer orders and prepare shipments
• Operate scanners and warehouse systems to record inventory transactions and maintain accurate stock levels
• Weigh, measure, and count materials to ensure products meet order requirements
• Complete shipping documentation and inspection records
• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and company-wide inventory audits
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Valid Forklift License
• 1-2 years of Forklift Operation and Shipping experience
• Able to read and understand warehouse customer orders and shipping documentation
• Basic computer knowledge and skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience in plastics, manufacturing, industrial distribution, or warehouse operations (asset)
• Previous experience handling commercial or industrial materials (asset)

 Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Pay rate: $23 per hour
