Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Chickasha, OK
Pay: $20-$30/hr DOE (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Overtime Available

Job Summary

A reputable company in the Chickasha area is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating construction and earthmoving equipment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and quality work.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and skid steers
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation activities
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Follow project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines
• Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete projects efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance needs
• Ensure work areas remain clean and safe

Qualifications

• Previous heavy equipment operating experience required
• Ability to safely operate various types of construction equipment
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices
• Ability to read grade stakes, blueprints, and site plans is a plus
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and climb throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to work extended hours and overtime when required
