Job Functions of a Residential Building Porter

• Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and exterior grounds.
• Remove trash and recycling from designated areas and ensure proper disposal.
• Assist residents with move-ins, move-outs, and the transportation of packages or belongings.
• Receive, organize, and distribute deliveries and packages when required.
• Monitor building entrances and report unauthorized access, security concerns, or suspicious activities.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and report repair needs to management or maintenance staff.
• Keep sidewalks, parking areas, and entrances clean and free from debris, snow, or hazards.
• Set up and arrange common areas for meetings, events, or inspections.
• Respond courteously to residents' questions, requests, and concerns.
• Ensure compliance with building safety, health, and operational standards.
