Winder – Eastlake

We are seeking an experienced Winder to operate and maintain winding machines used in the manufacturing of composite pressurized vessels for water filtration applications.

Responsibilities

Set up and prepare winding machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
Load and unload liners onto winding machines and secure them properly.
Monitor automated winding processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
Apply composite fiberglass fibers and resins according to specified winding patterns and layering requirements.
Inspect finished vessels for defects and ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance on winding machines and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Coordinate equipment repairs with maintenance personnel when necessary.
Perform daily cleaning of all winding tooling.
Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, materials used, and time required for each manufacturing run.
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Previous experience as a Winder or in a similar manufacturing role.
Familiarity with operating, setting up, adjusting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet production targets and deadlines.
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
