What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and the position, CNC Machinists may be responsible for:

• Setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes
• Loading programs, tooling, and fixtures
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Working with tight tolerances and GD&T
• Using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection tools
• Performing in-process and final inspections
• Making offsets and minor program adjustments
• Selecting and changing cutting tools
• Monitoring machines and adjusting feeds, speeds, and tooling as required
• Identifying quality issues and troubleshooting machining problems
• Working with a variety of metals and materials
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Working closely with programmers, supervisors, quality, and other machinists

We're Hiring All Experience Levels

Entry-Level / Junior Machinists

• Manufacturing or machining experience is an asset
• CNC education or apprenticeship experience is an asset
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working with tools and precision equipment

Intermediate Machinists

• CNC setup and operating experience
• Ability to read drawings and understand tolerances
• Experience with precision measuring equipment
• Knowledge of tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds

Experienced / Senior Machinists

• Strong CNC setup and machining experience
• Experience with complex or custom components
• Strong understanding of GD&T and tight-tolerance machining
• Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues
• Programming or advanced setup experience is an asset
