Job Overview

A heavy industrial equipment supplier in Bridge City is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair large machinery, including bulldozers, cranes, and specialized industrial equipment. This role focuses on advanced diagnostic troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and routine preventative maintenance to maximize fleet safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, engine, and structural issues on large industrial machines.

• Utilize computerized diagnostic tools, technical schematics, and service manuals to pinpoint electrical and system fault codes.

• Repair, overhaul, and replace worn or broken components, including engines, gearboxes, transmissions, and brake systems.

• Service, rebuild, and troubleshoot high-pressure hydraulic and heavy-duty electrical systems.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid flushes, filters, and grease fittings.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic working on cranes, bulldozers, or heavy earthmoving machinery.

• Strong diagnostic capabilities with computerized scan equipment and technical manuals.

• In-depth knowledge of heavy hydraulic systems, diesel mechanics, and high-voltage electrical circuits.

• Must possess or be willing to bring a personal set of heavy mechanic hand tools.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50+ lbs, climb on/under heavy equipment, and work in active shop and outdoor field environments.
