Job Overview

A local commercial facility in Harahan is seeking a dependable Service Porter to support daily shop, yard, and parts department operations. This role focuses on maintaining clean facilities, managing waste disposal, and assisting parts personnel to keep the service location running efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain shop and facility cleanliness by sweeping, managing trash removal, cleaning restrooms, and handling general spill cleanups promptly.

• Assist the parts department with discarding old parts, staging core returns, and clearing shop floors.

• Transport supplies, parts, or light equipment around the facility grounds as needed.

• Follow all workplace safety guidelines and assist shop managers with general daily maintenance tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.

• Drug screen (DT) and background check (BG) required.

• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Physical ability to lift heavy items, stand, bend, and work on your feet throughout a full shift.
