Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Customer Service Representative to join our independent insurance agency. This position will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service while assisting with policy questions, changes, payments, documentation, and general account support.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable speaking with customers, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment. Previous insurance experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.  #2606MS

Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly and professional service to clients by phone, email, and in person
Answer customer questions regarding insurance policies, coverage, billing, and documentation
Process policy changes, updates, certificates, and other customer requests
Assist customers with payments, billing questions, and account information
Communicate with insurance carriers on behalf of clients when necessary
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
Follow up with clients regarding requests, documentation, renewals, and other account needs
Identify customer needs and refer opportunities to the appropriate insurance agent
Assist with general administrative and office duties
Handle confidential customer information professionally and appropriately

Qualifications
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Professional and friendly demeanor
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems
Previous customer service, office, banking, or insurance experience preferred
Insurance experience or licensing is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate
