Main responsibilities

The job is essentially making sure the right materials get to the right production area at the right time. Duties include:

• Monitoring material requirements for current and upcoming production jobs.
• Pulling, staging, and delivering materials to production areas.
• Checking materials against work orders, job tickets, and production schedules.
• Tracking inventory/material availability and reporting shortages or delays.
• Coordinating with purchasing, warehouse, and production employees.
• Checking material quantities, types, sizes, and obvious quality problems.
• Keeping storage and staging areas organized.
• Helping with inventory counts and material tracking.
• Labeling materials for specific jobs.
• Moving wood, foam, printed materials, substrates, and signage-related materials around the facility with a manual Pallet Jack.
• Prioritizing material movement according to production deadlines.
• Following shop safety procedures.
