Part-Time Finance Assistant

On- Site -10 to 12 Hours a week

Pay Range:  $14 - $17/ Hour

The Finance Assistant will coordinate a local Christian Church's financial administrative processes to include contributions and deposits, confidential contribution records, and communication with the church's contracted CPA.  You will bring your confidentiality, discretion, accuracy, along with your strong organizational skills and comfort working cooperatively with church staff, volunteers, and professional service providers.  

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate weekly contribution counting, recording, and deposits while maintaining accurate and confidential financial records.
• Prepare annual contribution statements and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Receive, organize, and process invoices and reimbursement requests for submission to the church’s CPA.
• Serve as the primary administrative liaison between church staff and the CPA, ensuring timely and accurate communication and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work accurately, independently, and consistently.
• Basic computer skills and comfort working with financial records and documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, church leadership, and outside accounting professionals.
• Previous experience in financial recordkeeping, bookkeeping, or administrative support preferred.
• Experience working in a nonprofit, church, or other community-based organization is a plus.
