Pay: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-4:00 PM

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Welder to join a local manufacturing team. This position is responsible for welding metal parts and assemblies according to blueprints and work orders while maintaining quality standards and meeting production deadlines. The ideal candidate will have MIG welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform quality work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld metal parts and assemblies according to blueprints and work orders
• Inspect completed welds for quality and structural integrity
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
• Measure materials accurately to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain welding equipment and work areas
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Meet production deadlines while minimizing rework

Qualifications:

• Prior welding experience required
• MIG welding experience required
• TIG welding experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols
• Ability to take accurate measurements
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Welding certification is a plus
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and safety-conscious
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals

• MIG and TIG welders
• Grinders
• Cutting torches
• Hand tools
• Measuring tools
• Welding safety equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Frequent bending and kneeling
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
